All of my artworks begin with a watercolor background. I like watercolor for the nuanced gradients it creates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Then, I used mark-making tools to embellish the background with more texture. I use few commercial stamps or stencils. My tools are usually found objects or handmade. For this phase, I like to use acrylic paint because it shows up well against the watercolor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

After I create the background, I add shapes from papers I hand color myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are some examples of my hand-created patterns and textures, all with acrylic paint. All my marks are made from unique materials. For example, the center pattern was created with corrugated cardboard, and the pattern on the right was made with a dollar store toy, a base for plastic bricks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
